State Medicinal Plants Board was established on 14th August, 2001 in the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister of the state. It has its headquarters located in the state capital Dehradun.
SMPB prime objective is to act as nodal agency for co-ordination and implementation of National Medicinal Plants Board programmes in the state. It is the umbrella body in the state in medicinal and aromatic plants.
